If you lice in a cold place, I would consider getting a more commercial rated heating system or my float tub.
The different types of heating systems can range from up to 800 watts. STarting at 400 is what I consider a commercial heter but with extra EMF insultation is needed. I take my EMF mter and test every float tub before I enter. I don;t want to be exposed to radiation for 3 hours with a heater emitting right next to me.

Right when I get in a float spa if the temperature is just 1 degree off I can feel the difference between my body temperature and the temperature of the water temperature.  A good digital heating system with digital thermometers should help so that it is constantly heated at the same temp and doesn't vary in temperature. I really feel the sensation of floating in the air when the temperature is just right. Some of them get cool and the heater kick in and you can feel it getting warmer. I don't want to feel the changes in temperature.

Some peoel get non enclosed gtnaks that ahve teh water heated but the air temperature in side is colder or hotter. A real good float session has the same temperature air and water at the same time.

Please make sure that the heater is on the bottom of the frame of the float tub especially if it is high wattage. There are some very expensive models around 50,000 dollars that have 2,000 watt heaters like the above one on this page.

A good float tub is insulated properlyt to keep the heat in so it doesnt cost as mcuh to heat the spa and a lower wattage heating unit can be suitable. But just remembre, the goal is to get even heating, not heat coming from one part of the tub where you can feel warm here, cooler there, etc.

Many of the heating systems at float spa place range frm 93.5 to 95.7. It is always off by a degree or two every time almost. I always check my voltage before I go in and after wards to see what the effect was on my body.  I prefer the temperature to be closser to 95.7 which is when I have my best float.

Remember, the goal is to get continuous heating, not in pulses with cheap external heaters. It is best to have the heaters close to the water as long as they are shielded. Many of the cheaper ones get heated before the session and is cooled down after the hour session. That is why many I hear don't offer longer than hour sessions cuz their float tub is not high end and is not continuous heating.
